Marbella's Areas at a Glance
Marbella runs along roughly 27 km of the Costa del Sol, from Estepona in the west to Fuengirola in the east, with its luxury spread across several distinct areas:
Marbella Concierge — Costa del Sol, Turnkey
Marbella's defining difference from Porto Cervo, Saint-Tropez, and Ibiza is its year-round climate — an average of +15…+18°C in January, +28…+30°C in July, and 320 sunny days a year. That makes Costa del Sol the one Mediterranean luxury resort that runs at full tilt for twelve months: January golf weekends at Valderrama and La Zagaleta, a spring beach season, the summer peak of yachting and Puerto Banús nightlife, and the autumn high season with Marbella Luxury Weekend. The SOLO.CONCIERGE Marbella concierge works as an all-year destination — villas on the Golden Mile, a luxury-car fleet out of Málaga Airport, bookings at Marbella Club and Puente Romano, tee times at closed golf clubs, and access to beach clubs like Nikki Beach and Ocean Club.
What Marbella Is
Marbella occupies around 27 kilometres of the Costa del Sol, from Estepona in the west to Fuengirola in the east. The historic centre is Marbella Old Town, with Moorish architecture, Plaza de los Naranjos, and narrow streets; the modern part is Puerto Banús, a yacht marina with a boutique street, built in the 1970s and now a symbol of Marbella's luxury culture; and between them runs the Golden Mile, a prestigious residential corridor with villas, residences, and the legendary Marbella Club. Set apart in the hills behind Benahavís is the closed La Zagaleta complex — around 230 villas inside a gated community with two private golf courses, a helipad, and its own sports complex, one of the most expensive residential addresses in Europe.
Villas
A luxury Marbella villa is one of the main categories of demand, with fully staffed properties of 5–15 bedrooms and 4–10 staff as standard:
- Golden Mile: villas in the corridor between Marbella and Puerto Banús, within walking distance of the beach, some with their own services.
- Sierra Blanca: the slopes above Marbella with a sea view, and large villas on big plots.
- La Zagaleta: the closed complex in the hills — villas of 1,000–3,000 m² with private gardens, pools, and often a spa and cinema room.
- Nueva Andalucía / Las Brisas: the areas around the Las Brisas and Los Naranjos courses, with villas overlooking the fairways.
Luxury Car Hire
Marbella is a city where luxury car hire has long been part of the holiday ritual, and the concierge fleet here is one of the most varied in Europe — Rolls-Royce Cullinan and Phantom, Bentley Continental GT and Bentayga, Lamborghini Urus and Huracán, Ferrari 296 GTB, Roma and SF90, Porsche 911 Turbo S and Taycan, Range Rover Autobiography and SV, and Mercedes G63 AMG. Both self-drive and chauffeur options are available, with a 24/7 chauffeur service (Mercedes S-Class Maybach, V-Class for families, Range Rover for longer trips to Seville or Ronda) and delivery to Málaga Airport, the hotel, the villa, or a yacht in Puerto Banús.
Hotels
Suite upgrade, welcome amenities, and spa priority come as standard through the concierge channel:
- Marbella Club: the resort's legendary hotel since 1954, founded by Prince Alfonso von Hohenlohe — a Golden Mile classic.
- Puente Romano Beach Resort: a large resort complex with its own tennis club that hosts ATP tournaments.
- Nobu Hotel Marbella: the modern category, part of Puente Romano, with the Nobu restaurant on-site.
- Villa Padierna Palace: an Italian-Renaissance palace hotel in Benahavís, with three golf courses.
- Finca Cortesín Hotel: in the hills behind Casares, one of Spain's best golf resorts.
Dining
The Michelin scene of Marbella and the neighbouring area runs from Skina in the Old Town (two stars, 20 covers) to Dani García at Puente Romano (three stars), with Messina, El Lago in Elviria, Nobu Marbella, and La Terraza del Casino alongside. In Puerto Banús, the evening runs through Olivia Valere (a lounge restaurant with a dance floor), Buddha-Bar Beach, and La Sala by the Sea in a beach-dinner format.
Beach Clubs & Golf
The beach clubs are a culture of their own — Nikki Beach Marbella, whose Sunday brunch has been the season's ritual since 2003; Ocean Club, known for its champagne spray parties; Puro Beach Estepona, an intimate club to the west with a view of Gibraltar; and La Sala by the Sea near Puerto Banús. Golf is just as central: 70+ courses within 60 kilometres, one of the densest concentrations in Europe, including the private La Zagaleta (members and guests only), Valderrama (host of the 1997 Ryder Cup), the Marbella classics Las Brisas and Los Naranjos, and Finca Cortesín (host of the 2023 Solheim Cup). Tee times through partners, closed courses included, are part of the service.
The Season's Events
- Marbella Luxury Weekend (September): the main glamour event of the Costa del Sol autumn — closed shows, presentations, and dinners at Marbella Club.
- Starlite Catalana Occidente (summer concerts): international stars performing in the former Nagüeles quarry.
- Polo tournaments in Sotogrande (30 minutes away): a summer polo season with a domestic and international field.
Why Choose SOLO.CONCIERGE
Marbella is a resort where the luxury infrastructure is spread across 27 kilometres of coast, several areas in the hills, and neighbouring points (Sotogrande, Estepona, Casares) — coordinating a visit yourself, with villas in one area, restaurants in another, a golf course in a third, and a day trip to Ronda or Seville, takes a lot of time, and the advisor holds the whole map in one plan. Our supplier pool here was built over years: direct contacts with the general managers of Marbella Club and Puente Romano, the La Zagaleta and Valderrama administrators, the Nikki Beach and Ocean Club operations teams, and the luxury-car hire companies — which lets us close requests for peak dates (August, Marbella Luxury Weekend, Easter) where direct booking already shows no availability. A VIP Marbella holiday through SOLO.CONCIERGE works all year — winter golf weekends, spring beach trips, the summer peak, the autumn luxury weekend — with one team and one advisor at every stage.
